The Battle of Karbala occurred on the 10th of Muharram, 61 AH (680 AD), known as the Day of Ashura. Led by Imam Hussain (RA), a group of 72 individuals, including his family members and close companions, stood resolutely against the army of Yazid. Despite extreme thirst, hunger, and a severe shortage of water, Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions fought bravely to uphold the principles of Islam. They faced not only defeat in battle but also the desecration of their bodies by Yazid's forces. Imam Hussain's (RA) monumental sacrifice has set an enduring example of resistance against tyranny and oppression.

شہادتِ امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کا واقعہ عاشورہ کے دن، 10 محرم 61 ہجری (680 عیسوی) کو پیش آیا۔ یہ دن تاریخِ اسلام میں ایک المناکباب کے طور پر جانا جاتا ہے۔ امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کی قیادت میں 72 افراد کا قافلہ، جس میں آپ کے خاندان کے افراد اور قریبی ساتھی شامل تھے، کربلا کے میدان میں یزید کی فوج کے سامنے ڈٹ کر کھڑے ہوئے۔
کربلا کی جنگ کربلا کی جنگ میں امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) اور ان کے ساتھیوں نے عظیم قربانی دی۔ پانی کی شدید کمی، بھوک اور پیاس کے باوجود، امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) اور ان کے ساتھیوں نے آخری دم تک دین اسلام کی بقا کے لیے لڑائی جاری رکھی۔ یزید کی فوج نے نہ صرف جنگ میں انہیں شکست دی بلکہ ان کے جسموں کی بے حرمتی بھی کی۔ امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کی عظیم قربانی نے ظلم و جبر کے خلاف ایک ایسی مثال قائم کی جو رہتی دنیا تک قائم رہے گی۔
امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کی قربانی کا پیغام
امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کی قربانی ہمیں سچائی، حقانیت، اور عدل کی راہ پر چلنے کا درس دیتی ہے۔ ان کی شہادت کا پیغام یہ ہے کہ دنیا کے کسی بھی ظالم اور جابر کے آگے سر جھکانا، اسلام اور انسانیت کے اصولوں کے خلاف ہے۔ امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) نے اپنی جان کا نذرانہ پیش کر کے یہ ثابت کر دیا کہ حق کی راہ میں جان دینا، ظلم کے سامنے جھکنے سے بہتر ہے۔

یادگاری مجالس

محرم الحرام کے مہینے میں امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کی شہادت کی یاد میں مجالس برپا کی جاتی ہیں ۔ دنیا بھر میں مسلمان اس مہینے میں امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کی قربانی کو یاد کرتے ہیں اور ان کے پیغام کو عام کرتے ہیں۔ یہ مجالس نہ صرف امام حسین(رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کی یاد میں ہوتے ہیں بلکہ یہ ایک پلیٹ فارم بھی فراہم کرتے ہیں جہاں لوگ حق اور سچ کی بات سکتے ہیں۔
امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کی تعلیمات کا تسلسل امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کی شہادت کا پیغام ہر دور کے مسلمانوں کے لیے رہنمائی فراہم کرتا ہے۔ ان کی تعلیمات کی روشنی میں ہم اپنے معاشرے کو انصاف، امن، اور محبت کا گہوارہ بنا سکتے ہیں۔ امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کی قربانی ہمیں یہ سبق دیتی ہے کہ اپنے اصولوں پر قائم رہنا چاہیے اور ظلم کے خلاف ہر ممکنہ طریقے سے جدوجہد کرنی چاہیے۔
شہادتِ امام حسین (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کی یاد ہمیں اس بات کا احساس دلاتی ہے کہ ہم کس طرح اپنے معاشرتی اور اخلاقی اصولوں پر عمل پیرا ہو سکتے ہیں اور کس طرح دنیا کو بہتر بنا سکتے ہیں۔ ان کی قربانی اور ان کے اصول ہمیں ہر دور میں رہنمائی فراہم کرتے رہیں گے۔
