Out of these, four attendances are confirmed beyond doubt. During our college days at Government College Sahiwal, he visited twice. Professor Akbar Shah sahib knew that I had some interest in poetry, so he always encouraged me to attend these literary gatherings. On the second floor, in what was probably Room Number 26, we had the rare opportunity to hear his poetry recited directly, face to face. On one occasion, my dear friends Ashfaq Ahmad and Faheem Farroque were also present with me, which made the experience even more memorable and delightful.
