غزل کِس قیامت کی گھڑی تھی
جب جدائی آن پڑی تھی

دل تھا دُرد کا اک سمندر
آنکھوں میں اشکوں کی جھڑی تھی
قلم تھا میرا خون سے لبریز
تحریر اُس دن جلی ساری تھی

یہ درد اندر ہی پی گیا تھا
اگر چہ تکلیف تو بڑی تھی

چلے تھے طوفان کیسے کیسے
چہار سمت آندھی چڑھی تھی

خواب سارے چھن گئے تھے
وفا جو بت بنی کھڑی تھی

حیرانگی ہے کہ ایک شمع
طوفان کو روکنے بڑھی تھی

بے فیض دنیا مگر وہ مورت
دل کے نگینے پر جڑی تھی

شکیل حسرتوں کے اندر
حسرتوں کی اک لڑی تھی

jb judai aan pri thi

dil tha drd ka samander
ankhon mn askon ki jhri thi

qalm tha mera khoon se labraiz
tehreer us din jali sari thi

ye drd ander hi pi gya tha
agr che takleef to bri thi

chley they tufaan kesey kesey
chahaar simt aandhi chri thi

khwab saarey chin gaye they
wafa jo but bni khari thi

heraangi hai k aik shama
tufaan ko rokney brhi thi

be faiz duniya mgr wo moorat
dil k nageeney pr jri thi

🌿 English Translation (Poetic & Smooth)



What a doomsday moment it was,
When separation finally arrived…

My heart was an ocean of sorrow,
And streams of tears flowed from my eyes.

My pen was soaked with the blood of my wounds,
Every written word burned that day…

I swallowed the pain deep inside,
Though its intensity was unbearable.

Storms of every kind rose against me,
Winds blew wild from all directions…

All my dreams were snatched away,
The idol of loyalty stood silent before me.

Strangely, a single candle stood firm,
Trying to stop the raging storm…

This unkind world was barren and cold,
Yet her image was engraved upon my heart.

Shakeel—within my hopelessness,
There lay a whole chain of broken desires.
