Tufail Hoshiarpuri: The Melodious Ghazals and Naat Reciter

Tufail Hoshiarpuri: The Melodious Ghazals and Naat Reciterسوانحِ حیات طفیل ہوشیارپوری میں نے طفیل ہوشیارپوری کو پی ٹی وی کے سالانہ مشاعروں کے ذریعے پہچانا۔ وہ اپنا کلام ہمیشہ ترنم میں پڑھا کرتے تھے، اور اسی اندازِ ادائیگی نے انہیں میرے اُن پسندیدہ شعرا میں شامل کر دیا جنہیں میں کم عمری ہی سے پسند کرتا آیا ہوں۔ پی ٹی وی پر یا تو رمضان شریف کے موقع پر نعتیہ مشاعرہ نشر ہوتا تھا یا پھر سالانہ مشاعرہ رات گئے دکھایا جاتا تھا۔ چونکہ مجھے شعر و ادب سے بچپن ہی سے گہرا لگاؤ رہا ہے، اس لیے شاذ و نادر ہی ایسا ہوتا تھا کہ میں ان مشاعروں کو دیکھنے سے محروم رہ جاؤں۔ ان کے آخری دور کے ایک پنجابی مشاعرے میں، انہوں نے پنجابی زبان میں ایک نعت ترنم کے ساتھ پیش کی، جس کا پہلا شعر آج بھی میری یادداشت میں محفوظ ہے۔ہ پنجابی شعر یوں ہے جس کی جھولی کبھی خالی نہیں رہتی جو میرے محمد ﷺ کا سوالی ہے ان کی آواز نہایت خوبصورت تھی، اور وہ بڑی دلکشی کے ساتھ کلام پڑھا کرتے تھے۔ ان کا کچھ کلام آج بھی ان ہی کی آواز میں انٹرنیٹ پر دستیاب ہے۔ انہی میں ان کی ایک غزل خاص طور پر قابلِ ذکر ہے۔ اس غزل کا مطلع نہایت عمد...

The Pact | A Deep Emotional Poem from My College Days (معاہدہ)

The Pact | A Deep Emotional Poem from My College Days (معاہدہ)

introduction:

This poem was written during my college days — a time when emotions were intense, words were restrained, and silence carried meanings deeper than speech. The Pact is not a protest, nor a complaint; it is an understanding between love and helplessness, between society and the soul. It reflects how sometimes we let go, not because we want to, but because we must.

Watch My Interview

Watch My Ghazal Kis qayamat ki ghari hey

English Translation

The Pact
I know—you are helpless, bound by chains unseen.

In the purity of a silent evening, for a few moments
You stood before me, face to face,
Yet not a single word escaped your lips.
With a glance that set my soul on fire,
You walked away.

Every letter written in your silent eyes
I know them all—I understand their meaning.
Why are you fearful of my name, why this regret?
I still see your being as innocent, oppressed.

Once, your heart was tied to mine—
You thought I would lock this secret in my chest.
Go then, with confidence, and manage the world;
Even if I drink poison, I will sweeten my lips with silence.

Society forced you into surrender—otherwise
I know you were sincere with me.
You became the owner of wealth piled upon you,
Yet in the riches of love, you remained poor.

I do not believe in life’s generous favors;
I complain of the bitterness life has poured into me.
The world may seem nothing, yet it is everything—
I complain of fate’s relentless cruelty.

May your home never be touched by sorrow.
I do not accuse you—just let me wander astray.
O my world, you do not realize—
I am a vessel of glass; if you must, break me.

I know—you are helpless, bound by chains unseen.

Monthly Political Scene Lahore (November 2005)

This poem was later published in Monthly Political Scene Lahore, but the head of the literary section of this institution, while “correcting” the poem, completely distorted its original form, against which I protested in very strong words. I am also attaching a copy here for the readers, so that you may judge for yourselves to what extent the poem was altered.

This request is directed to the divine, indicating the importance and sacredness of the beloved in the speaker's life. This highlights the purity and selflessness of their love, as their desire is so profound that they seek it through prayer rather than direct requests. tees

poem Tees "Invisible pain" refers to the experience of discomfort, distress, or suffering that is not immediately apparent or visible to others. Unlike physical injuries or external wounds, this type of pain is often internal, emotional, or psychological in nature. Individuals experiencing invisible pain may be grappling with conditions such as chronic illnesses, mental health disorders, or psychosomatic symptoms that manifest without obvious external signs. This term highlights the subjective and often hidden nature of certain types of distress that individuals endure. Despite the absence of visible indicators, invisible pain can be just as debilitating and impactful on a person's well-being. Understanding and acknowledging invisible pain is crucial for fostering empathy, support, and appropriate interventions for those dealing with conditions that may not be readily apparent to the outside world. Invisible pain is a profound and often misunderstood aspect of the hu...
