دنیا کی تمنا ہے نہ دولت کی طلب ہے

دل تیری محبت میں مگر جان بلب ہے

یہ خاک حسینوں کی اداؤں سے حسیں ہے

تجھ سا نہیں انداز ہوتی شان عجب ہے

راتوں نے سیاہی تیری زُلفوں سے چرائی

دن نے تیرے چہرے سے لیا نور غضب ہے

تو ہی میری دنیا میرے ایمان کی حد ہے

تو ہی میری تسکین ہے جینے کا سبب ہے

جس خاک کو چھو لے اسے فردوس بنا دے

مدحت کی زباں دیکھئیے پتھر میں جذب ہے

اے خالق ہستی کے حبیب رحمت عالم

مجھ کو تیری توصیف کا آتا نہیں ڈھب ہے

کہتا ہے زمانہ کہ شکیل بھٹکا ہوا ہے

جو تیری اطاعت میں ہے بھٹکا ہوا کب ہے

یہ نعت رسولِ اکرم ﷺ کی محبت، عقیدت اور روحانی وابستگی کا ایک نہایت خوبصورت اور دل سوز اظہار ہے۔ شاعر نے اس کلام میں دنیاوی خواہشات اور مادّی طلب کو رد کرتے ہوئے یہ واضح کیا ہے کہ اس کے دل کی اصل آرزو صرف حضور ﷺ کی محبت ہے۔ یہی محبت اس کے ایمان کی بنیاد، اس کے سکون کا ذریعہ اور اس کی زندگی کا اصل مقصد ہے۔

نعت کے اشعار میں حضور ﷺ کے حسنِ ظاہری و باطنی کو بڑے دلنشین استعاروں کے ذریعے بیان کیا گیا ہے۔ رات کی تاریکی کو زلفوں سے اور دن کی روشنی کو چہرۂ اقدس سے تشبیہ دینا شاعر کی عقیدت اور فکری لطافت کو ظاہر کرتا ہے۔ یہ اشعار نہ صرف جمالِ مصطفیٰ ﷺ کی جھلک پیش کرتے ہیں بلکہ قاری کے دل میں عشقِ رسول ﷺ کی شمع بھی روشن کرتے ہیں۔
